The Professor Speaks

No need for big introductions here. The fact is, I know my fantasy football. I've been playing since 1991 and have had one losing season (Of course that year my team was 3rd in overall points - but that's fantasy football). In that 1991 season my quarterback was Joe Montana and I drafted a second year runningback named Emmitt Smith (just to give you an idea of how long I've been at this).

I've only missed the playoffs in my league twice (and those were flukes). I'm starting this blog for one reason. Because I think you deserve better than what you get from the so called fantasy football experts at various sites and cable channels.

Listen, any moron can make a list of players every week. I mean, how much knowledge does it take to say Tom Brady is the highest ranking quarterback this week, or that you should bench Alex Smith. No freakin' duh. They make maybe one bold prediction a week, and what happens if they're wrong? Nothing. They don't even acknowledge the mistake after the fact.

I'm here to help.

Fantasy football is a game. There's strategy behind it. There's skill. There are valuable lessons to learn. You can't get those lessons from a list, but you can get them here.

Pay attention, and over the next few weeks I'll provide you with lessons; valuable lessons, that only a professor can provide, that will make you a better fantasy football player. It'll take more than just reading though. You'll have to do a little homework. But if your goal is to win, it will be worth it.

We'll talk a little bit about players, where you might want to draft them, and all that jazz that's impossible to predict, but awfully fun to talk about. But we'll also talk strategy, where to go to find the best information, how to best make game day decisions and how to make deals that will get you into the playoffs and devastate your opponents.

Stay tuned.
